Community Outreach & Charity Initiatives

At Spring Klein Vision Center, we believe strongly in giving back to the community and caring for the eyes of all those in need.  Outreach programs represent an opportunity to show the community the level of commitment our optometrists have to their community. The staff also plays an important role in community outreach.

To give back to the school district that educated him so well, Dr Way founded a program and continues to work closely with Klein ISD nurses to provide free eyecare and glasses to students who cannot otherwise afford it.  This KISD Vision Outreach program provides up to 80 free eye exams and glasses to Klein students each year. Dr. Nelson is a member of the InfantSEE program which offers free vision exams to infants under 1 year old.

  • A portion of the profits from all glasses sales in our office goes toward covering the cost of nearly 150 free eye exams to Title 1 Klein ISD students every year as well as either a free or very lost cost pair of glasses.
